＜2027 Spring and Fall Departures＞ This is information on applying for the 2027 student exchange program.
The Student Exchange Program allows students to study at one of Ritsumeikan's student exchange partner universities for 1 semester or 1 year. As long as students have paid their tuition to Ritsumeikan University, tuition to the partner university will be exempted. If you are considering participating, please start making preparations and consulting the International Center as early as possible. *Please note that the some application dates have changed from what is listed in the "Study Abroad Guide 2026" (pg. 5-6), so please take note of the updated schedule below:

1st Round Monday, May 18, 2026 ～ Wednesday, May 20, 2026 Applications Closed
2nd Round Wednesday, September 2, 2026 ～ Friday, September 4, 2026
※In the second round of applications, the universities being recruited may vary depending on the remaining number of available slots at each university and the timing of nominations and applications to host institutions.
Destinations: Australia, China, South Korea, Taiwan
Departure Dates: February - March 2027

1st Round Wednesday, October 7, 2026 ～ Friday, October 9, 2026
2nd Round Tuesday, November 24, 2026 ～ Thursday, November 26, 2026
3rd Round Tuesday, January 12, 2027 ～ Thursday, January 14, 2027

Note on Preparing Application Documents (Course List & Academic Transcript) (October 5, 2026) We have confirmed that the screen display of Application Documents ④, ⑤, and ⑥ shown in the currently published application guidelines differs in some respects from the current CAMPUS WEB system. The application guidelines instruct applicants to “print the page including the ‘Close’ button/icon” when preparing the required documents. However, in the current version of CAMPUS WEB, this icon is no longer displayed when printing the screen. If the “Close” icon does not appear, you may proceed without it and submit the PDF version as is. Please make sure that “(c) Ritsumeikan Trust. All rights reserved.” appears on the final page before converting the file to PDF. In addition, some of the screen images (screenshots) included in the application guidelines may differ slightly from the current CAMPUS WEB display. However, there have been no changes to the information required for the application documents. A revised version of the application guidelines will be posted as soon as it is ready.
