For New Students Who Have Received a “Reservation Notice for Monbukagakusho Honors Scholarship for Privately-Financed International Students” from JASSO
If you are a new student and have received a “Reservation Notice for Monbukagakusho Honors Scholarship for Privately-Financed International Students” from JASSO, please complete the following two procedures before enrollment.
1. Report your enrollment to JASSO
Please use the “Online Form” at the bottom of the JASSO website below to report to JASSO that you will enroll at Ritsumeikan University.

Note: The online form for students enrolling in Spring 2027 will be open at the end of January 2027. Once it is open, please inform JASSO as soon as possible.
2. Submit your Reservation Notice to Ritsumeikan University
Please submit either a PDF file or a printed copy of your “Reservation Notice for Monbukagakusho Honors Scholarship for Privately-Financed International Students” to the university’s scholarship office.
Deadline: For students enrolling in April: March 31
(If March 31 falls on a Saturday or Sunday, please submit it by the preceding weekday.)
If you cannot submit it by the deadline, please contact us in advance.
When submitting the document, please be sure to include your university entrance examination number (not your EJU examination number), the college you are going to enroll in, and your name in the email.

Important Notes
- Submitting the Reservation Notice alone does not mean that you will receive the scholarship. You must complete an application procedure after enrollment.
- After enrollment, the university will contact you about the application procedure. Please check your email carefully.
