About the “Residence Status & Residence Card Confirmation Survey”
As required by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT), the International Center conducts a confirmation survey every April for students studying in Japan under the residence status “Student.”
All international (non‑Japanese nationality) students are required to cooperate with this survey, regardless of their current residence status.
※This survey applies to both degree-seeking and non-degree students.
※If your response cannot be confirmed, you may be contacted individually by email or phone.
※Students who hold Japanese nationality do not need to respond to this survey.
■ Important Notes
For students with the residence status “Student,” failure to submit your Residence Card image during the designated survey period may affect eligibility for tuition reduction and screening for external scholarships.
Please be sure to submit the required information by the deadline.

■ How to Respond
① Students with residence status “Student”
Please submit images of the front and back of your Residence Card via the web form below.
Deadline: Friday, April 10

Important:
・Even if you have submitted your Residence Card to us in the past, you must submit it again to confirm your latest information.
However, SKP students who have already submitted an image of their residence card do not need to respond to this survey.
・Please submit a card that shows your current address on the back side.
・New students must complete resident registration at their city/ward office and have their address printed on the back of the Residence Card.
If you cannot meet the deadline, April 10, please submit it by Friday, April 17.
・In the web form, select:“ 2. Submission of Residence Card.”
Accepted file formats: jpg / png / pdf
・Make sure the card number and other details are clearly visible. If the image is unclear, you will be asked to resubmit.
・If you have not yet obtained your Residence Card, select:“3. Report that you do not have a Residence Card” and explain the reason.
※The submitted images will be used for internal university purposes only and will not be shared externally.
② Students WITHOUT residence status “Student”
Please answer the following web form regarding your current residence status.

This yearly survey is mandatory and must be completed by all international students as part of the university’s legal obligations.
