Due to the current situation surrounding the coronavirus, it was announced by the Immigration Services Agency that Certificates of Eligibility which are normally valid for 3 MONTHS will be treated as if they are valid for 6 month from the date of the entry restriction measures being lifted OR until April 30, 2021, whichever comes first. (As of June 26th)

However, please be careful of the following information:
If three months pass AFTER the issuance date listed on the Certificate of Eligibility (whicn means expired), you will need a document stating that "the university can still accept the student under the same activities as when applying for issuance of the Certificate of Eligibility" issued by Ritsumeikan University.
When applying for the visa and when entering Japan, you will need the following two documents (1. Certificate of Eligibility and 2. The above document issued by Ritsumeikan University).
