The scholarships that support students’ participation in study abroad include RU Scholarships offered by Ritsumeikan University and Non-RU Scholarships offered by outside institutions (e.g., Japan Student Services Organization [JASSO], prefectural government, city government, private foundations, etc.).
Each scholarship has different eligibility conditions for students, repayment rules, application methods and rules regarding combining scholarships, so please be sure to check that content in the application guidelines.
・Provided by RU - RU Scholarships
・Provided by outside institutions - Non-RU Scholarships
・Loan Type - “Borrow and Repay” scholarships that must be repaid (including interest)
・Grant Type - “Received” scholarships that do not need to be repaid
・Scholarship application to Ritsumeikan University or through Ritsumeikan University
・Individual scholarship application without going through Ritsumeikan University
