When applying for the Ritsumeikan University Study Abroad Challenge Scholarship (referred to below as “Challenge Scholarship”), pay particular attention to the following points:
<Payment Amount>
The amount to be paid will vary depending on the study abroad program’s cost, period, location, etc.
Along with the scholarship details, be sure to check the payment amount in the scholarship regulations and the study abroad program’s application guidelines.
<Procedure>
For the Challenge Scholarship, submission of the “Study Abroad Challenge Scholarship Recipient Pledge” (referred to below as “Pledge”) will be considered as an application.
Also, depending on the study abroad program, scholarships will be paid by bank transfer to a designated account, so submitting a “Transfer Request Form” along with the Pledge is also necessary.
The study abroad program provider (International Center, college administrative office, etc.) will
provide instructions regarding these procedures, so please apply as instructed.
<Combining with Other Scholarships>
When receiving non-RU scholarships (excluding loans), if the total amount being received from non-RU scholarships exceeds the Challenge Scholarship payment amount, you will not be able to receive this scholarship at the same time.
In the event that you are receiving or intend to receive separate scholarships through RU/ non-RU scholarship systems,
there are cases when this scholarship may not be combined.
For details about combining scholarships, please check the application guidelines for each scholarship.
