○Tuition Reduction is a system offered by Ritsumeikan University with the purpose of reducing the fiscal burden of international students by covering all or a percentage of tuition fees.
Tuition Reduction equaling 20%~100% of tuition fees is awarded to selected applicants.
※The current Ritsumeikan University Tuition Reduction Scholarship for International Students will end in 2025. Tuition reduction from 2026 onwards has not yet been determined.
○Scholarships are awarded to students who are proactive in their studies and other activities. Various scholarships have additional eligibility criteria, conditions and application procedures. Please make sure you understand the application method for each scholarship and apply for the appropriate scholarship by the due date.
*While most scholarships require that applicants hold a "Student" status of residence, there are
some scholarships that do not require this status of residence.
*Some scholarships may require applicants or recipients to have a bank account in Japan
while others may require students to be staying in Japan.
